Hello everyone!
As you all know, our first meeting for this semester was this past Thursday at 6:15pm in the graphic design room at Hammond Hall. We had a great turn out and look forward to what this semester will bring for us all! Below, I’ve included a recap of the things that were discussed in the meeting. A big reminder, we’re having a bake sale this Monday, in the TMB lobby by the food court from 10-2 and could really use some help! Hope you all have a great weekend
-Lindsey

T-Shirt Competition
Submit your ideas and/or sketches for t-shirt designs for the Art Alliance! The design should tell people who are, so we need it to say “JSU Art Alliance” or just “Art Alliance”. The design will be on a grey t-shirt. The officers will choose the top 5 designs and vote on the design to be our t-shirt. You may e-mail files to Morgan Christopher at MC051008@hotmail.com. The winning design will be announced and posted on September 20th.

If you have your own way, you can follow the directions below and we will meet you there. This is a great opportunity to meet a professional artist, so dress to impress! Library Case Change-Over
It’s time to swap out our art in the JSU Library Case. If you would like to display some of your art in the case, for the duration of the summer, just drop it off in Mrs. Greene’s office. Make sure you attach a note with your name, title, media, class, and your email or phone #. It would also really help us out if you could email us the same information so we know to expect your work. It would be fantastic if we could collect work for the case this week, and then hang the work next week.
Mural Project
Priming appears complete, so now it’s time for us to dive into finalizing our design, figuring out what supplies we need, and working out a schedule. We hope to have most of these things finished within the next 1-2 weeks. A few people expressed interest in helping to fill out the final mural design, so a sketch of the mural design is attached for their reference. We need make the Spring tree less leafy, and we need flower, butterfly, bird, and other small object designs to flesh out the big picture. Email me if you have any questions. Also let me know if anyone wants to help in the color selection process. I was thinking we could by lowes sometime this week to pick out colors.

Once we complete these two task the Preschool will need to prime the mural wall and near that time we will come up with a schedule for working on the mural. We are going to test out house paint and try to go with it to keep the cost affordable.
April 30th: Goal date for finalizing the design and supply list.
